I bought this at Windows in Newcastle. It's tuned and played like a guitar but sounds not unlike a tenor banjo. Cost about £140 - they do more expensive ones but this is fine for now.

Bambuca Bridge

I was not drunk when I took this picture - just my lousy camera skills. It was taken from the Sage about 11.00pm after we'd had a very nice meal at that very venue. The bridge was erected by Bambuca, an Australian art group that build 'sculptures' from huge lengths of bamboo. It was completed today and lit by hanging lanterns, also made from bamboo.
